Hollyhock Pattern

I designed this pattern on linen. The hollyhocks are three shades of light pink  with red centers, and the blue is a beautiful rich blue. I used an eight cut. I can also draw this as a 14" square like I made for my pillow..  If you love hollyhocks you will love this.

Seahorse Pattern

I hooked my seahorse with wild orange wool and outlined him in red. You could hook the coral in green or taupe or red. My seashell is camel with a pink outline, and the sea urchins are purple.

I hooked each of the baby owls in a different white. They are sitting on a tree branch. The moon is hooked with different golds.

I had so much fun hooking this with lots of different yarns and leftover wool. I outlined  my shells and starfish and seahorse so they would show up.

Terrier at the Gate -Pattern

This design is inspired from an old print. The pattern is hand drawn on linen. The small pattern makes a lovely runner for the table in the summer. The terrier has spots like our Vidalia but you could draw spots to match your favorite terrier.
I think it would be a lot of fun to hook the big size for the landing at the bottom of my stairs and hook the saying "comparison is the thief of joy" at the bottom of the rug. The patterns come with close up pictures. I hooked the hollyhocks in pinks with pink and red centers the foxgloves are in variegated purples.

Spring Robin Pattern

My sister has a little robin that builds outside her kitchen window so she said we needed a spring robin kit to go with the fall one.  The robin is in a dogwood tree and is holding a twig in her beak. There is a violet at the bottom of the nest. I made my robin into a pillow with blue bead trim. This is a fun summer project.

Fall Robin Pattern

This is a fall pattern I designed. It makes a cute small pillow, and is wonderful with a fun fringe added to it. It would be a great fall purse. Robins always appear when the seasons change, and I thought of this design one day when I saw robins hoping all over my sister's yard. The robin is perched on Chinese lanterns that grown in the garden.

Fall Runner -Pattern

A fall pattern of  hickory, oak and sassafras leaves. The sassafras tree has three different leaves, and one looks like a mitten. I always think of my grandmother when I see this tree. She taught school and  had the children collect leaves each fall. She would show them the sassafras tree with it's mitten leaf. She instilled a love of nature in me. The vine is bittersweet. I  picked up these leaves this fall with my lab Maggie. When we got home I simply transferred them on to the design. My fall runner is on my antique chest in my living room that I use for our coffee table.
